4 Reasons Why You Need To Take A Break from Electronic Devices

I find it rather ironic that no matter how much technology we humans are in contact with the very items that are supposed to save us time and make us more effective in completing tasks seem to be the very items causing us stress!
Health - Once you make a commitment to take a break from these "gadgets" you will feel so much better, just knowing that you are taking care of yourself, your eyes especially. I do not think humans were meant to be staring at background lighted screens for hours on end every day. Do you?
Mind – You need give your mind a break from all this information. This will free your mind and your imagination to think of a solution you may be trying to solve. Gadgets seem to get in the way when I solve something.
Nature - Take time during your day to go for a walk even if it is only 10 minutes it is better than nothing at all - Research shows that people that take time to enjoy nature from time to time, tend to have better sleepless evenings, thus being refreshed for another day.
Meditation/Yoga - There are so many great benefits for indulging in these activities. From my time on this earth, I have learned that taking time for yourself is not only healthy. It should be a number one priority for everyone. Absolutely necessary especially in these days of electronic devices, both mediation and yoga free the mind to see things a different way. You may have one of those "ah ha" moments that Oprah Winfrey used to mention on her TV show and in her magazine.
As the artwork above shows, every now and then take a moment for yourself with your favorite beverage or book, try meditation, enjoy a walk, practice yoga, if only for 10 minutes. A break from whatever you are doing, say every hour or so, refreshes your mind.
